This shocking documentary by filmmaker Twyla Roscovich and biologist Alexandra Morton discovers British Columbia's wild salmon are testing positive for dangerous European salmon viruses associated with salmon farming worldwide and how a chain of events is set off by the Canadian government to suppress the findings contained within this documentary.
Crazy Nate Every single food source that's mass farmed has terrible consequences. We need to all do what we can to make our own food. Even if you just grow a carrot in your window. Grow something, every bit helps fight mass farming. Honey, fish, cattle, corn, anything mass-produced has negative consequences.
Daddy Damn. Watching this in 2020 with the illness is eye-opening!
HDXBear This lady should get the order of Canada for her work. Wake up Canadians
Festering Ferret Same in Scotland. Snp doesn’t give a dam. Get rid of the farms.
Billy Kobilca Monsanto chemicals at work. It's not about the salmon it's all about the profits
River Deep Big, issues. Money screams louder than morals. I won't be surprised if Monsanto's name pops up like in Norway.
Anne 혜영 I'm a big salmon consumer. After seeing this, I don't know if I can go to a sushi restaurant again. I'm very disappointed in the Canadian government. Democracy died in Canada. Very very disappointed...
QueenAyacodobae When you look into the eyes of Dr. Gary Marty you can feel and see that there is something seriously wrong and he knows it.
MrDrDubbs It disturbs me, that so many corrupt people make it to high government positions.
M Oczakow I hope they keep fighting the bureaucracy, natural healthy wild salmon is one of the greatest & nutritious foods in the world, when not poisoned & infected by our and industrial actions.
Ivry Tilers Gteat film! Much respect to the resilience of the ladies. And the Eagle nature sent to get that sick fish! It’s time the western world wakes up to the reality that it’s gradually becoming a Corpocracy.
Chelsey Robb, This is an incredibly sad story from 2013. I am truly very shocked to see this happen, to have scientists muzzled, government inquiries deny findings, rather than problem solve... the salmon issue is so globally prolific. It's horrifying. It's our food, it's our industries, it's our culture, it's our future. I hope the people doing this work have gotten somewhere by the time I've watched this documentary in 2018.
Tb Thomas, I am stunned by this. It's 2019 (for 1 more day). I deeply appreciate what Ms. Roscovish and Ms. Morton have done. That said, in addition to the diseases they have uncovered, the most lethal threat is the ubiquitous proliferation of corrupt so-called 'public servants' who infest governments throughout the world. Watching the 'officials' of the Canadian government cover this up and defame the people who are diligently attempting to protect our ecosystems, is disgusting, and terrifying
Julie Sheard What a wonderful woman, you go girl!! Thank you, thank you, thank you, for your courage, your persistence, and your intelligence. She is so right; we the people of the earth must become the guardians of our own food supplies. Corporate food production must be boycotted.
Humble house Thank you for posting this tremendously educational documentary. What courage and conviction it must have been in all the people involved in the production to undertake this project. I feel so sad at the way a small group of people (the salmon farmers and their owners) is allowed to do so much destruction to a much larger group of people and the entire ecosystem. No more farmed salmon for me. One line caught my attention and that was 'Chile does not need the salmon industry' when they highlighted the sick salmon in Chile which caught the imported virus from Norway. Yes, Canada has so many other natural resources that it can tap on aside from the salmon farms. It really does not need them for its economy. In fact, I would reckon that a healthy wild salmon population would so enrich the entire wider ecosystem that much more money can be made in promoting eco-tourism and everyone in the community can benefit.
Vinson Smith Thank you to everyone who helped make this documentary. Very educational and I will be looking forward to how it all plays out.
Icicles They're afraid of what you'll find just like in the video " Farmed Norwegian Salmon - World’s Most Toxic Food "
John Cronin What about perch I see in the store, supposedly from Canada, are these a threat also, no more for me, I’m done!
Irina Godunko Nothing new is under the sun. There is no government on this planet that cares about us, the people!
Orange F Never trusts a man that begins with, "From my understanding..."
A Zone Great info. I am no longer eating any farmed fish, especially the farmed salmon.
Dee brides May God bless all who are involved in this, true troopers !!!!
Kip Beardsley, These women are gosh-damn Super Hero's!!! Greed and corruption is really flourishing all over these days. It's extremely distressing. I hope we do not lose these AMAZING, AWESOME and BEAUTIFUL creatures.
Nirob Ahmed What a wonderful and truth-revealing documentary it is, I am just amazed how the on the screen and behind the screen, good-hearted people revealed the devil's act to safeguard the Salmon and Nature. Love from the deepest part of my heart for these Angels. I couldn't resist myself to write this way, best wishes to all of them.
RICHARD Sink thank you so much for the info, I will not! eat any more fish! From this day on I will not eat fish. I now have to look into other meats. thanks so much! I hope you are successful in stopping these barons after the money you e Just makes me so discussed that governments do this all the time. How do they live with this? It makes me so angry. Thank you for putting this out there.
William J. Croft biologist Alexandra Morton is a complete inspiration in this documentary where she clearly shows viruses spread into wild salmon by salmon farms. Bryan Jack Good honest Canadian Government, just like the rest of the world crooks.
Ontheedge33371 Disgusting to hear these government employees protecting corporate fish farming at the expense of the natural ecosystem and our natural wild salmon! Had anything changed now? It’s 2020 so it's prob worse now !?!
Murtaza Mandviwala Excellent documentary and shame on the Canadian government. Is there a follow-up to this? It's been two years since - has anything changed?
Angeline Baekhave What a great video...wow! Good job! This is yrs old now. I can't imagine what the fish are like today.
Andries Scheepers Well done! Good work Alexandra Morton..... When I hear Farmed Fish I run as fast as my legs can carry me... I have stopped eating any form of Salmon and have told all my friends to stop eating salmon. Government officials just lie and sell themselves out to industry kickbacks it's just corruption at another level and playing with consumers' lives. This is ridiculous, I hope now 7 years later this has been solved.... would be great to see a follow-up now in 2020.
John Lysic Thank you for posting - very interesting indeed
Prasub Brilliant work! Thanks for sharing this issue with the world!.
LoveIsHope I wonder how the wild salmon in BC are doing today? We need to get rid of fish "farms".
Toby Ihli I’ve watched several different documentaries on this woman, and I am absolutely convinced that she has her finger on the pulse of what is killing our salmon. If we would just decide to follow her unquestionably then we will solve this problem, no doubt.
Dee Birdez May you be blessed forever! thanks !!!
Lara O'neal Thank you Alexandra Morton for your work and integrity. You’re doing amazing courageous work. Keep it coming. God bless you.
Nhofstein Inspirational, you opened up our eyes as to how to fight this all together. God bless Biologist Alexandra Morton & her team, I hope she had made some success against the industry since this was posted a few years ago!!
Blaise This woman has mind-blowing control. I would be losing my F'ing mind if I shared such a fervent passion for what the government is willing to help destroy. An amazing woman.
Mazury77 Great thanks for this documentary and wholeheartedly congratulations to all the brave scientists who do not give a duck about speaking the truth.
Mat B Fantastic work, thank you for your efforts!
Anna Lima OMG, this documentary is great but makes me sick. The corruption is so high, makes me puke. Government is a joke, all about profits, doesn't care about our eco-system, about our health!!!! Alex Morton, you are amazing, your work is impressive!
R Beautiful job ladies!!! You should be given medals for your commitment, your true nobility, determination, and concern for mankind!!! You are much appreciated! Thank You, you are truly Angels from above! GOD BLESS!!! You in those fish farms, and your fucking Bills, Rot in Hell for what you are causing upon mankind!
Tony Awan GREAT WORK DR MILLER AND ALL OF YOU WHO ARE WORKING FOR US BLESSINGS
Leticia Kalumba Highly inspiring documentary, with insightful, educative, information teaching us about the risks imposes by fish farming. The devil is always at work, but we must be few steps ahead by asking God to makes us consciously aware of the hidden forces behind the food industry that no harm will come our way. This documentary has really opened up my eyes, ears, to remain educative and dig deeper when it comes to food.
